Introducing to you the Mayor of the city of Talkeetna, Alaska. Mr Stubbs
He has been appointed as a mayor for about 15 years. Talkeetna city with a population for about 900 people appointed the cat because they are frustrated with the uselessness of a human mayor.
They appointed him while he was a baby and feel that he can do a better job than human. Surprisingly, he does. Not literally though. Since Stubbs became the mayor, tourism industry in Talkeetna has been reported to increase rapidly. Reason is most of them want to see the cute little mayor themselves.
If you have the opportunity to visit Talkeetna, make sure you go to Nagley's General Store to meet him. I bet he will not be snobbish. One resident of Talkeetna when interviewed said.
"I feel that Mayor Stubbs is the best for the job. He doesn't increase the tax, interrupting the local business and corrupt!"
